SCAD FASH Invitation

Inspired by Oscar de la Renta's Look #40 from his Spring/Summer 2023 collection, this invitation draws from Tulipomania—a period during the Dutch Golden Age when the Netherlands' extraordinary flowers became a symbol of status and luxury. These rare blooms were often displayed in ornate porcelain vases, which directly influenced the design of Look #40 and, in turn, this invitation.

The invitation set is designed to reflect the elegance of both the collection and its historical inspiration. It includes a slip in the back to store the reply envelope and card, a multi-fold invite that unfolds to showcase Look #40 alongside the gala details, a die-cut sleeve that encases the invite, and a custom envelope to tie it all together. Pearlescent paper with intricate blue detailing mimics the look of fine porcelain, reinforcing the connection to the vases that once held these prized flowers.
